Author(s) Guidelines
TunasEdu: Journal of Primary Education Development
TunasEdu welcomes original contributions from researchers, educators, and practitioners in the field of primary education.
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review in any other journal.
- The manuscript must be relevant to the scope of TunasEdu.
- Articles must be written in clear and academic English.
- Authors are responsible for the accuracy of data, citations, and references.
2. Article Types
The journal accepts the following types of manuscripts:
- Research Articles (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods)
- Literature Reviews / Systematic Reviews
- Research and Development (R&D) Studies
- Best Practices in Teaching and Learning
3. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized as follows:
- Title
- Maximum 15 words
- Clear, concise, and informative
- Author(s) Information
- Full name (without academic titles)
- Institutional affiliation and country
- Email address (corresponding author required)
- Abstract
- 150–200 words
- Include purpose, method, results, and conclusion
- Keywords
- 3–5 keywords
- Avoid repeating words from the title
- Introduction
- Background of the study
- Literature review (state of the art)
- Research objectives
- Method
- Research design
- Participants or subjects
- Instruments and data collection procedures
- Data analysis techniques
- Results and Discussion
- Present findings clearly (tables and figures if necessary)
- Interpret and compare with previous studies
- Conclusion
- Summary of key findings
- Implications and recommendations
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- References
4. Formatting Guidelines
- Length: 5,000–7,000 words
- Paper size: A4
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt
- Line spacing: 1.5
- Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Use single-column format
- Use clear headings and subheadings
5. Tables and Figures
- Must be numbered consecutively (Table 1, Figure 1, etc.)
- Include titles and sources (if applicable)
- Must be clear and high resolution
- All tables and figures must be cited in the text
6. Citation and References
- Use APA Style (7th Edition)
- Minimum 15 references
- At least 80% from journal articles
- Preferably published within the last 5–10 years
Example:
Author, A. A. (Year). Title of article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages.
Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as:
- Mendeley
- Zotero
- EndNote
7. Submission Process
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the Online Journal System (OJS)
- Authors must register and log in before submission
- Manuscripts should be uploaded in .doc or .docx format
- Ensure the manuscript is anonymized for the double-blind peer-review process
8. Peer Review Process
- All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two reviewers
- The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks
- Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer feedback
9. Plagiarism Policy
- Maximum similarity index: 20%
- Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be rejected or returned for revision
- Proper citation and referencing are mandatory
10. Publication Ethics
TunasEdu follows the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Authors must:
- Avoid plagiarism and self-plagiarism
- Avoid data fabrication or falsification
- Disclose any conflicts of interest
- Ensure proper authorship and contribution
11. Author Responsibilities
- Ensure the manuscript is ready for publication
- Respond to reviewer comments promptly and professionally
- Submit revisions within the specified deadline
12. Copyright and Licensing
- Authors retain copyright of their work
- Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) License
13. Article Processing Charges
Currently:
- No submission fee
- No publication fee for Volume 1–2
Any future changes regarding publication fees will be officially announced on the journal website.
