Author Guidelines

The minimum standard requirements for articles submitted to Jurnal Inovasi dan Karya Teknologi Informasi (JIKTEKS) are as follows:

For manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia, please adhere to the Pedoman Umum Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia (PUEBI).
For manuscripts written in English, authors are encouraged to use a proofreading service or tools such as Grammarly to ensure grammatical accuracy.
The length of the submitted paper should be at least 4 pages and no more than 15 pages. Editors will evaluate manuscripts exceeding 15 pages.
Authors must use a reference management tool, such as Mendeley or Zotero, and follow the IEEE citation style.
Ensure that the paper is prepared using the JIKTEKS paper template, available on the journal’s website

Authors are suggested to structure their manuscripts according to the following format:

Title – The paper title should not exceed 10 words, and should not include acronyms or abbreviations.
Abstract – The abstract should be a maximum of 250 words, without citations. It should state the research objective, design, methodology, main results, and conclusions.
Main Sections – The manuscript is recommended to follow the IMRAD structure:
- Introduction – Explain why the study was undertaken, the research question, and the purpose.
- Methods / The Proposed Method or Algorithm (optional) – Describe when, where, and how the study was conducted and what materials were used.
- Results – Present the findings or answers to the research question.
- Discussion – Interpret the results, their implications, relevance to other studies, and perspectives for future research.
- Conclusion – Summarize the main findings and their contribution to existing knowledge. If results are preliminary, suggest directions for further research.
References – Authors are expected to include 15–20 references, with at least 60% from journal articles. It is recommended to use Mendeley or Zotero for citation management.
